India’s GDP was only $37 bn in 1960. Right now, it is $2.7 tn.
India is gifted with a huge young working population - India’s median age is around 28. (China’s is 37, Western Europe’s is 45, and Japan’s is 49).
Sensex started with a base value of 100 in 1979. Right now, it is at 37,877. That is a growth of 15.58% per annum.
The first mutual fund company (AMC) in India was established in 1965 - UTI Mutual Fund.
From 394, we now have 1792 mutual fund schemes.
